An exhibition of photographs titled “Building Bridges Through Culture,” dedicated to the works of distinguished architect Jože Plečnik, has been ceremoniously opened at Kalemegdan in Belgrade. The exhibition represents a cultural collaboration between the Czech Republic, the Republic of Slovenia, Austria, and Serbia, organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic, the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia, the Austrian Cultural Forum, and the Museum and Galleries of the City of Ljubljana.
Present at the grand opening were Irena Herak from the Embassy of Slovenia, Petr Dolezal and Milena Mirkić from the Embassy of the Czech Republic, as well as Mira Komadina and Amadeus Faltheiner from the Austrian Cultural Forum. This project highlights the importance of culture in connecting people and cities, and the exhibition includes works from Ljubljana, Vienna, Prague, and Belgrade, provided by the Museum and Galleries of the City of Ljubljana.
Among the authors of the exhibited photographs are Irena Herak, Jan Goc from Prague, and Milan Kambič from Vienna. The exhibition will be open to the public until June 1, 2024, and presents a unique opportunity to explore the bridges that architecture can build across different European cities.
