13th GoetheFEST, will take place from October 10th to 13th at the Cultural Center of Belgrade (Kolarčeva 6). As in previous years, this year’s selection brings 7 remarkable films from the latest German feature film production.

The festival opens with Kris Kraus’s masterful work “15 Years”, an emotional rollercoaster starring the brilliant Hannah Herzsprung. The film not only delves into her internal conflicts but also touches on topics like the war in Syria and speculative TV shows.

The festival will close with the moving poetic drama about transgenerational trauma, set in an exciting mystery thriller, “Blind Spot” by Ayşe Polat, a film that continues to win numerous prestigious film awards.

We highly recommend the other films in this year’s lineup: the unique romantic comedy about finding one’s true self, “Franky Five Star” by Birgit Meller, as well as “Jonja” by Anika Mecke, a film filled with youthful spontaneity and authenticity. Don’t miss “Beyond the Blue Border” by Sarah Neumann, which centers on the theme of escape to freedom.

Special attention goes to the multi-award-winning Austrian Oscar entry, “The Devil’s Spring” by Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala, as well as the highly inspiring film “In His Own Skin” by young director Alex Schaad, winner of the Student Academy Award.

Tickets are on sale now. Join us for another unforgettable GoetheFEST!
