Pál Frenák, a multi-award-winning choreographer and one of the most prominent figures in contemporary dance, is celebrated for his innovative approach. Drawing inspiration from the sign language of the deaf and hard of hearing, he has developed a unique dance language that incorporates mimics, body movements, and elements from various artistic genres such as circus, theatre, and contemporary music.

Founded in France and active in Hungary since 2000, the Frenak Dance Company has captivated audiences worldwide for over two decades. With more than 40 choreographic works and performances in over 30 countries, the company represents a symbol of creativity and innovation in the world of contemporary dance.

At BITEF Theatre, Frenak’s company will present their timeless piece “Boys”, a performance that, through a fusion of contemporary dance and artistic elements, explores and analyzes the societal nature of masculinity.
