The portraits by Irena Herak, showcased at the 10th anniversary of the Slovenian Film Days in Belgrade, were presented for the first time outside Serbia at the 27th Slovenian Film Festival in Portorož, held from October 22 to 27.
Irena Herak’s photographs have left a profound artistic mark on the Slovenian Film Days, with which she has collaborated from the very beginning. Her expressionist style captures and visually interprets moments from the world of film through portraits, bringing forth the emotions and energy of artists and scenes. Many figures and encounters have become part of film history precisely thanks to her lens – like the unforgettable meeting of actors from Matjaž Klopčič’s iconic film Sedmina, Snežana Nikšić, and Rade Šerbedžija.
