From May 10 to September 10, 2024, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade will host the exhibition “Preventive Peace” by Michelangelo Pistoletto, one of the most prominent Italian artists and a significant contemporary artist in Europe. The curator of the exhibition is Marijana Kolarić, the director of the Museum of Contemporary Art.
The Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, in cooperation with “Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto,” the “Zerynthia” Association, and the Italian Institute of Culture in Belgrade, organizes this first solo exhibition of Michelangelo Pistoletto in Belgrade. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia and the Embassy of Italy in Belgrade. The exhibition was inaugurated by Nikola Selaković, the Minister of Culture, and Maja Gojković, the President of the Government of AP Vojvodina.
Publika će imati priliku da uživa u nekim od najpoznatijih dela kao što su „Slike ogledala“, „Venera od krpa“, „Minus objekti“, „Voleti razlike – umetnički pokret za međumediteransku politiku“, „Treći raj“ i mnogim drugim. Izložba je deo inicijative „Birčaninova@100” koja obeležava stogodišnjicu polaganja kamena temeljca zgrade u Birčaninovoj ulici, u kojoj se nalazi Ambasada Italije u Beogradu.
