We invite you to the fourth edition of Art Weekend Belgrade (AWB), taking place from June 6th to 9th, 2024, in Belgrade. The event, initiated by Cultural Front and KC Grad, aims to support and promote the local creative scene, as well as facilitate connections and collaborations between artists from Serbia and international artists and curators.
This year’s main exhibition, titled “Questions of Belonging,” will be held at four unconventional locations in downtown Belgrade. The theme was inspired by Merle Radtke, the renowned director of Kunsthalle Munster and guest curator of this year’s AWB, reflecting on contemporary issues of belonging.
In addition to the main exhibition, AWB will include a broader program of collaboration with museums, galleries, and independent cultural centers. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage in an adventurous treasure hunt, discovering “artistic treasures” at various locations throughout the city. The initiator and artistic director of the Art Weekend Belgrade event is Ljudmila Stratimirović.
AWB 2024 is supported by EUNIC Serbia, Goethe-Institut, the Embassy of Portugal, the Italian Culture Institute, the Embassy of Finland, the Hungarikum Center, the Czech Center Belgrade, and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia.
